First Turkey

For the rest of us this upland bird hunter successfully harvested his first wild turkey the hard way, all by himself without the advantage most of us had of having a father, brother, cousin or hunting buddy show us how it is done. If we are all honest with ourselves we all hold a special memory of that first turkey we called ourselves, P&Y deer, true wild duck blind retrieve and pointing dog that we truly trained ourselves. Nothing can replace or surpass that special feeling of satisfaction with the first of anything we strive in our hearts to do. Congratulations Joe, you have done what some do not attempt. Thanks for the story and picture.

Text with the picture: "Just got back from a great day out turkey hunting. I took all of my lessons from last year (on what NOT to do) and applied them and 'walla'...deep fried dinner to be had this evening."

Archery

From this past season a hunter that had spent a lot of time in the woods found his payoff.

Congratulations on two fine archery harvests.
