Deer Lease

The central midwest includes the great plains where agriculture is king and half of the land surface is in farming. The other half is for wildlife as dictated by the watersheds that cut through the farm fields preventing tractor access. For deer hunting the most common habitat is the wooded creek bottom of dry, intermittent and wet creeks or drainages.

This picture is looking down the field edge of one dry creek bottom of mature, for the central midwest, deer holding trees. The thinner tree lined drainage running to the left in the picture is representative of the 8 to 10 such small drainages leading into the larger one that runs for a 1/2 mile on this lease at one end and repeated again on the other end.

Continue to see a longer view of this creek bottom.
