Reservations

It's always nice to put a face to a voice you hear on a regular basis. In this case it's Shaun, the friendly voice everyone has heard making reservations the last two years.

In celebration of turkey season coming to an end, Shaun and Jon decided to take the day off and go fishing. It was good for her to walk through the maps and get a feel for what it's all about.

Kansas Landowner Tags

Just as a reminder that the secondary market for Kansas transfer landowner tags is greater than the MAHA program. Some other options to consider include:

Secondary Market Option

Each year on EBay and many websites for hunters offering auctions or reader classifieds inclusive of transfer deer tag holder advertising their tags for sale. Searching EBay with multiple keyword phrases of: "kansas deer tags"; "kansas landowner transferable deer tags", etc., will yield different results.

Department of Wildlife and Parks Option

On telephone request any person may receive from the KDWP the name, telephone number and tag type for all those that applied for and received a transfer tag.

Shaun & John,

I wanted to write you guys and share some turkey hunting pictures - all from club properties.

I have been fortunate enough to draw an Iowa tag the last three years and I have tried to accomplish a Mid America 'Grand Slam' by getting a bird in Iowa, two in Kansas, and two in Missouri. In 2004 and 2005 I was not successful. However, this year I did it and I have attached a picture of each bird. All five birds were mature gobblers and the 1st one I killed in Kansas even had a triple beard.

Thanks again for all your hard work. So many of us get to enjoy the fruits of your labor and you probably don't get thanked enough. On top of that, both of you are always very helpful when I call in to make reservations and that is much appreciated.
