Interest | Our extensive upland bird habitat coverage in this Kansas pheasant habitat series as well as within various other pheasant and Bobwhite Quail web sections is intended to take the mystery out of where to hunt and the type of pheasant and quail habitat we lease for those new to Kansas, Iowa and Missouri. Kansas pheasant hunting will always mean quail will be found in varying population densities throughout the Kansas pheasant range. Cover such as this brushed in waterway common to tall grass pheasant habitat will yield coveys and pheasants. The far tree line that has row crop on the far side will as likely yield quail as pheasants.
