25 March Traveling HunterHere are some pictures , a buck I shot the first day in [location deleted] and I probably should have waited as I saw a bigger buck 2 days later on another farm and a doe I shot in [location deleted] along with some big rubs. I did not see any big bucks in [location deleted] but the weather was not good, freezing rain, heavy snow and a very bad ice storm. Thank You for a wonderful hunting experience. I would like to thank John Wenzel for all of his advice on where to get started it is greatly appreciated !!!!! Don
Always as good to see a doe harvest as a buck, thank you. Congratulations on a good hunt, you worked for it.
For all, each doe picture is saved in a file and carried on land runs. Having a stack of doe harvest pictures with different backgrounds, trucks and faces, shows deer management is a concern of this organization and its hunters. Its effect is with landowner relations showing that we help thin down the deer herd, a welcomed activity in many farming localities.
State Of GreenSpring seems a bit on the slow side this year. Wheat fields show the earliest of the green. The rest is the dreary brown of late winter, early spring.
Taken while running around looking at land and for flocks last week.
Current Sights
Since the waterfowl migration is past it's peak we thought we'd share the little that's left.
A photo from a recent scouting trip of 2 different species of diver ducks. The pair are 2 ringnecks and the solo is a shoveler, which is close to the bottom of the list in terms of desire.
