5 May Traveling HuntersHey Jon and John, Just checking in to let you know how our turkey trip went. This year our group has increased to 4 hunters. We were able to fill all our tags on longbeards. We had pretty good weather during our hunt. Even had a couple of calm days, by mid-western standards. The biggest difficulty we faced was weeding through all of the jakes. I think every property we hit had a flock of jakes on it. Things surelook good for next year! Thanks again for providing my friends and I such a quality place to hunt together. We are all excited to come back for bow season.
Highlights of the harvest. 1. Triple bearded tom 2. Double bearded tom - "also was his first turkey, nice start" 3. Limbhanger 1 3/8 spurs 4. Kill recorded on video.
Sincerely, Jacob
Thank you Jacob and crew, we count on hearing from you each season. For the rest of the readers, this crew is not only successful each season they also seem to have a great amount of fun on their hunts. Either they are blessed with only good hunts every time out or they are the kind of folks that only focus on the good and completely ignore any bad that may arise. In any case they are some that we count on for feedback on hunt quality.
Not All TrophiesSome pictures from the past winter's land runs. Keeping tabs on all that we see, trophy or not, all adds up over time.
Above as seen while on a bird hunt. Below a soybean field long after harvest continues to attract foraging deer.
