9 May LandPictures sent in by a member reacting to a favored farm undergoing improvements as part of the ongoing agricultural economic boom that is predicted to carry on for some time.
Captions supplied with a much longer pictures series paraphrased include. The new fence through land cleared of trees meaning the remaining wood cover area will soon have cows. Select woody cover areas under clearing effort to make more pasture. Drainages being cleared of woody cover and filled in to make more crop ground.
The Association partners Jon Nee and John Wenzel feel the pain and probably more so as we find the habitat clause of contracts being violated and know full well just how difficult it is to find and lease good ground.
8 May Far Traveling HuntersHey John Lonnie and I had an amazing time on our last turkey hunt in [location deleted. We saw numerous big gobblers all over our land. I shot a 27 lber at 6:50 the first morning. We never been on that farm before. On the last day Lonnie connected with an awesome bird as well. The weather was rainy and chilly but we made it happen in 3 days...We met some nice guys one from Colorado and two others from Missouri. They were great guys willing to share info on land they hunted. You've done your job with the rite members. Were getting our tags in for Kansas and Iowa again, cant wait till deer season......talk to you soon, Buck
Thank you Buck for the picture that shows just how dreary the spring season weather has been!
For the rest of us, these two hunters travel from just as about as far east and north as you can get being beaten in the long distance category by only a handful of other members. |
