Quail Habitat 3

States

Kansas Quail

Missouri Quail

Iowa Quail

Milo, Kansas.

Thin edge with other parts of this farm better cover and the coveys have been found in both the thin as well as thicker areas.

Iowa, corn.

Common habitat of brush/grass draws cutting though crop fields. Iowa and north Missouri has more corn and beans due to higher rainfall amounts as compared to western Kansas.

Bean field, Missouri.

One branch of many coming off of the main creek bottom out into this 320 or, 1/2 section. All total a good couple of miles of edge and a 3 hour hunt with two long running dogs.

Last year's milo, this fall's no-till wheat in Kansas.

This farm of 2,400 acre lease has much of the farm fields enrolled in the filter strip program.

By this point the common edge quail habitat has been well represented and for those that would like to do more research we offer to go to our Quail Hunting Home Page and read our rules as well as some quail hunter testimonials. From those two sources questions may be developed. Call us and ask those questions and if we agree we could work together we will then offer a good number of quail hunting members to call and ask the same questions. Finding a consistency of answers will give a better reliability of what may be expected.

Good hunting to all!
