Duck Hunting

Mid-America Hunting Association approach to self guided duck hunts is to provide the wetlands, the duck blinds in some cases and a telephone reservation system to ensure hunter separation. The self guided duck hunter does the rest.

We get to see a lot of ducks through the year and we found interesting in this flock the drake to hen ration.

We define wetlands to cover farm pond, watershed lake and our managed wetlands composed of levees and permanent duck blinds.

Farm ponds, watershed lakes, wade-in and layout boat areas are do it yourself completely. The managed wetlands have permanent blinds and when on the wetlands all must hunt from the blinds as one means to ensure hunter separation.

The duck hunter provides his own blinds, calling skill and retrieving capability.

The telephone reservations are accepted from 9 to 530 Monday through Friday and all will be limited to a maximum of three open reservations at anyone time. After one or more of the three reservations has passed another reservation may be made. It is by this means that no one hunter can book a blind and deny it to any others that may also want to hunt.
