There are other spots of deer potential on the Association Barber County acreage, however your Association staff with these pictures is not recommending unit 16 for deer hunting. The Association focus in that unit remains bird hunting.

A weed patch in the middle of the field not observable from the road produced a herd of 8 -11 whitetail. Half ran out of that piece, some came back around us trying to get back into the weeds both in the center of the field and along the road. Tree stand trees on both the west and east sides.
Those that have bird hunted Jewell County will enjoy the Barber County bird hunting as the terrain is largely similar having a good number of open scrub/grass drainage's to hunt.
