Hunters
It seems the April 17 update about Barber County has brought us both the ire and compliments of deer hunters. Compliments from those hunters with much experience hunting open lands deer and ire from those asking if we are trying to discourage hunters from applying for unit 16 tags. The reality is as stated before: "...we seek to develop reasonable expectations as best we can in pictures and text...". In any regard keep the feedback coming and part of that feedback is courtesy of Mike, a well experienced open lands hunter. He has provided the whitetail pictures below. All from open lands, just incase the background habitat goes unnoticed.

Thanks Mike, your pictures have a greater purpose than just being nice pictures.

Comments Heard More Than Once
A sentiment given to us from a couple of early season hunters is they are filling some but not necessarily all spring turkey tags on a single trip.

From those that have put in for early western state tag draws believing they had a better chance this year due to the down economy found many others thinking the same as tag applications continue to exceed available tags.
