Golden Days
From Don, a reminder of just how good it can be. Thanks Don.

Bad Hunt - NO
I had a good [location deleted] hunt although the attached picture is the best I could do. Had gobbling on two sides, saw birds at a distance, tracks all over the farm. All I had was the weekend to hunt, just couldn't put it together. I'll be back. Thanks Jimmy.

We understand how hard hunting can be even when it all seems to be there, and it is always good to be reminded. Thanks Jimmy.

The Other Side
The House of Representative have in debate what is titled the: "Nonnative Wildlife Invasion Prevention Act". It is reported to be one of those wolf in sheep's clothing deals where seemingly environmentally sound policy about maintaining the environment is inclusive of exotic wildlife for hunting. It is hard to argue against allowing destructive environmental influences as the wood bore that is attacking native conifers. It is another to say that introduction of the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant, the India Chukar or Hungarian Partridge was a bad thing. This is one of those fine lines that must be managed to keep at bay yet one more nibbling away at hunting rights the animal rights groups have made well known as their strategy for total elimination of animal use by mankind. Yes, we agree an unlikely scenario, but nonetheless we need not allow our recreational life to become more complicated.

Add these lesser advertised threats to hunting to the more well known potential threat to gun ownership and multi-state legislative attempts to limit hunting dog breeding and it does seem to become overwhelming. Exactly the wear down tactic effect the well funded and membership motivated animal rights and anti-gun crowd wants to happen.
