Just got back from scouting in [location deleted]. Here are some pics from my cameras that I put out in turkey season. My camera reset somehow so the time is wrong on some of the pictures. The biggest buck was taken on 5-30-08. Could be a great one. Beans look behind and corn looks normal. Crops were more equally divided than what I saw last year. I will call you and give you a scouting report.

Thank you for taking the effort to send in your pictures. Seeing live shots with surrounding habitat is always useful. Getting comments from others that travel to scout on crop observations and other points has always been useful compared to us locals that see area conditions every day missing out on what may be of value to others. For all keep your reports flowing. They seem to make the day a bit better for all that read this update page than just reading all the bad news that is online.

John...don't think I ever sent in any pics from this trip a little while back...spent about four hours of actual time on this particular water - a lake I had never fished before...produced enough fish for two family-size fish fries - one if you include company. Too many small fish to keep bait in the water for very long but towards the end of the morning, we started catching a few better quality cats, even broke off on two with 17-lb line so I figure there are some pretty good fish in this particular lake.
The waiting is almost over...Fall is right around the corner! Matt
Hi Matt, thank you for what has become a rare picture. So few cat fishermen out there.
