It’s often said a photo is worth a thousand words.

A drake wood duck rivals the best of what nature has to offer in the way of beauty. Our wetlands have large quantities of wood ducks, especially early season, but they are extremely difficult to capture on film. These photos were taken by member Jeremy B. while scouting for deer.

Specklebellied geese are a bonus bird to Association wetlands in the fall, but come through in large numbers during the spring migration. This photo was taken during the spring snow goose season.

Iowa Kansas Missouri

Crop insurance requires any field receiving crop insurance payments cannot be harvested. Any crop existent in that field remains until that field is worked for the next planting. This may explain standing crops in some fields during the season.
