Snows with some Canada Goose and Ducks

Thanks to Mike who happens not to be a waterfowl hunter.

As is common, the flock covers more ground than a camera can capture in one picture.

"...saw about two hundred Canadians and a couple hundred ducks...snow geese..."
What local waterfowl hunters have seen many times over and frequently a new sight for the non-resident hunter. Once found, setting up nearby is usually easily done. Then it is all about skill.
Spring Turkey
From our own (MAHA Staff) running about and that information from several others out scouting it appears that fresh turkey sign is easier to find than actual flocks. With each spring season being a bit different than the last (remember the cold last year) this year the early observations are the flocks seem to have a wider movement range.
Memories
Last season seems so long ago. From Don's camera. A hunter that enjoys his dogs most of all and the pictures more than birds. The kind of hunter most would like to hunt with. Thanks Don.

Those that bird hunt can see the quality of habitat, seemingly open land without cover, great weather and enjoyment that comes from a good day in the field. The other side is that all bird hunters have to do during this time of year is get through the daily grind.
