...By noon we had been in 5 nice coveys...a blizzard coming so we loaded early in the morning and came home...

Thanks Mike, for the story of this season, plenty of birds and tough weather.

The snow geese are starting to show up.
We have land in all 3 states with fields that will be covered up with geese, but it takes a lot of scouting and gear to make it happen.
For starters, Nemaha County around Centralia Lake is a sleeper spot that needs to be explored.
Thirty years ago some of the most productive Canada goose hunting in the MAHA region was almost exclusively concentrated around the Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Chariton County, Missouri.

Now, Canadas are seen and huntable in all almost every county the club has land leased in Missouri, Kansas and Iowa.

Even though they are seen everywhere, especially late in the season, the degree of difficulty for a successful hunt is high.
