It is that time of year we are in, that period from December through June, when membership inquires, sponsorships and applications hit a peak. It starts with Christmas presents, continues with year-end bonuses, tax return money, enthusiasm for spring turkey carry's the momentum ending with the issue of the non-resident deer tags for Kansas and Iowa in June. It is that the majority of Association memberships begin and end in this period. It is both a benefit and a consequence. The benefit seems to be there are openings concurrent to when hunters want to spend money. The consequence is that by June onward available memberships decline. The consequence is as we try to warn all every year at this time those that wait may well find no room available to them.
