Quail
A look back during a period of more pleasant weather earlier this season.
For the remainder of the season the local long range weather forecast shows a warmer stretch compared to the recent cold weather.
This quail hunter we have seen recurring times since this website started in 1996. He knows full well how our local quail hunting has been and has been one of our references telling a good many applicants over the years what to expect. He has been a member for over 20 years.
Two points soon after the covey flush, one a single the other a double.

First hunt of the morning, just after breakfast and easy drive out.
She just has to watch the quail fly.
Light load, small gauge, sharp eye. That is a double.
Pulled off to rest the covey.
