20 January

...my wife came on a hunt with me, she carried a camera and took these shots. We didn't hunt hard. Generally made three stops a day. Averaged two coveys and an occasional pheasant...

...the picture of the two dogs on point was from the last field the last day. It was the one that wore us out. Running pheasants with both dogs on track, relocate, point then again and again... That was just after lunch...We had more hunting in that one field than we wanted getting back to the truck with some light...

...she does well at getting good pictures. We take the time to get her into position before I move in to flush...that is a hen in the picture, the rooster was all ready on the ground...that is my better dog to my left remaining steady through drop...

...in the few days she hunts with me she collects a number of these kind of pictures...some that come to our house probably think it is a dog picture gallery with what is hung all over the walls...

...this one is a great picture...what it is, was our youngest dog was on point, a single after a large covey point/flush...my wife moved in for the picture, I came in to flush the pointed quail. While walking in I put up a quail that flushed away from me, veered away from my wife and flew low over the head of the pup from his rear to front causing him to squat down..I missed the quail he was pointing and it was a good day.
