Field Hunt

The majority of ponds and lakes we've been goose hunting were frozen solid so we decided to place a large field set on the edge of a frozen lake next to a wheat field.

We hunted from dusk till dawn and only had action the first hour and last hour of day light. It was definitely a long day but a hunt to remember since Thor, a first year hunter, retrieved his third Canada goose band of the year as well as his first specklebelly. The banded Canada was less than a year old and banded in northern Nebraska.

Thanks again Steen and Thor for sharing!
