Things to come
For those that can not see how seasons are advancing within our region.
The picture below is about as short of mid-June corn we have seen. Taken on 17 June this corn shows just how far our spring set back some planting schedules. Late planting plus corn breaking $4 recently will make for more standing corn this fall.

On the same land run as the corn above, this fawn came running up to us, stopped, looked us over and walked away.

From another farm a Great Blue Heron chick in a nest.

Watched 2 moms feed their young for a long time. It was a poor angle for photos, but quite an event to watch in person. They communicate with loud noisy squawks.
The habitat on these two farms looked good as well. Each should provide good hunts this season.
