Last Season
A continuation from a previous series of photos of a flock of ducks feeding in the little open water that was available in the area at that time.

A frigid January day when the water was frozen and the birds were roosting on the ice.

Conditions like this, if the water is above chest wader depth are extremely dangerous to the hunter as well as the dog. Be cautious while hunting near ice on ponds, lakes, rivers and streams. A bird or two in the bag is not worth the chance of a potential tragedy.
"...Tim Sr. took an 8 pter on the 2nd day of gun season that he was happy with...I personally saw 8 bucks in 2 days. What a delight to hunt where you know you will see game. The best buck I saw on the trip was about 30 mins into the firearms season at that farm. An impressive, big bodied 8 that was tempting to me. It would have been a fine buck back home, but not my best and not what I went out there for. I know there are nicer bucks to be found...I was not disappointed in the least that I didn't fill my tag. It was a great experience to see and hunt your part of the country..."

Congratulations Tim. Thank you Bill for all the great feedback, keep it all coming, every bit adds up over time.
