Kansas, Iowa Deer Tags
Background: Last year the Association members drew a higher number of Kansas deer management unit 9 and 16 tags than previous experience That trend continued with membership applications after the Kansas deer tag issue resulting in declination of both sponsored and not sponsored applications for all that had unit 9 or 16 tags. The Association staff's recognition and reaction to this condition was entirely based on the Association hunters reporting what Kansas and Iowa deer tag they had drawn. A gratefully well working relationship success point.
Action: All Association hunters that draw a Kansas or an Iowa deer tag notify the Association staff of the tag type, unit or zone and state as soon as those tag results are known. Doing so will allow the Association staff to count hunters against deer land to try as best we can to prevent over populating any one unit/zone with hunters.
Maps
We are in the process of adding road names of the roads adjoining Association leases. The intent is to help the members find their way to and from the farms. The maps will be posted as completed over the next couple of months.
