John,
I just wanted to take some time and tell you what an awesome hunt me and my father-in-law had last year in [location deleted]. I saw 51 deer the first 2 days, plenty of 130 to 140 class deer, I actually missed a very big (possible 155 to 160) at about 300 yds. Then I was nice enough to allow my father-in-law to hunt my ground blind and 15 minutes after day break this big boy comes out at 60 yds. It scored 154 and weighed 330lbs. It is the biggest deer my father-in-law has ever killed and we both wanted to thank you for giving me some pointers on this particular property. You guys run a fantastic organization and I look forward to deer season again this year. MAHA is first class.
Thanks again, Scott

Hi Scott, thank you for taking the effort to show us all one nice buck. Congratulations to your father-in-law for his personal best. Good to see your two hunting together, sets a good example.
Congratulations for one the hard way!

John,
I attached a picture of my second bow kill. It was a very fun season. Thanks for everything.
Thank you, Heath
Thank you Heath, especially by bow, wow! Tough by any one's standards.
Iowa Deer
"A spokesman for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the number of non-residents seeking to get a deer license in the hottest hunting areas will still be more than the licenses available. Mick Klemesrud says some out-of-state hunters have likely changed their strategy for acquiring the licenses by purchasing what's called a "preference point" that gives them an extra shot at a deer license in future drawings. Klemesrud says there are quotas in the 10 zones where they offer non-resident licenses, and in some of the more popular zones, there are two to three times the number of hunters seeking a license than the quota number...He says there have been cases where someone had two preference points, but still didn't get drawn for a license in one of the hottest hunting zones."
