Seems so long ago that it was hunting season....

Thought I'd send some pics to refresh the minds of people, such as myself, trapped in the city of the wonderful sights we encounter in the outdoors!!

From a traveling hunter that told us a long time ago what others have also said, that once hunting out our way there is little motivation to hunt their home state. It certainly is enjoyable to work with others that find satisfaction in the simple things to include reflecting back on the failed dreams and work of those that came before us reminding us just how good we have it.

Our Side
"...county presidents [Farm Bureau] raged against the Humane Society of the United States, not to be confused with local humane societies, which do not typically pitch into arguments about the ethics of farm animal treatment...We are opposed to the concept of animal rights and oppose the expenditure of public funds to promote the concept of animal rights..."
Farm Bureau demonstrated hard-line views in Washington, by Mark S. Jordan, News Staff Reporter, March 17, 2008.

Hunters have more effective allies than just the conservation groups that while expressing great support for hunter rights fail to make inroads with public opinion at large through mainstream media.

The Other Side
"...when the society [HSUS] goes to the ballot, it usually wins...No organization has a better record at the ballot than the Humane Society of the United States...Between 1990 and 2006, HSUS won more than two-thirds of its ballot measure campaigns..."
The True Champion of Direct Democracy, Joe Mathews, March 16, 2008, New America Foundation.
