From Greg, a long time hunter who enjoys a good season every year. Thanks Greg.

The Other Side
Some times the other side is our side too. This was sent to us by a former member who would like others to know what is happening. Thanks Jeff.

Some perspective on this matter.

Military installations may and do have regulations separate and above that of general society.

It is unclear if this requirement extends to those military members living off a military installation and who do not bring their privately owned weapons onto a military installation.

Private owned weapons used or stored anywhere on military installations have been registered for as long as anyone in the military can remember and that registration continues after the military member leaves the service or retires.

All military members swear and oath to support and defend the Constitution Of The United States which of course includes the second amendment.

The military does entrust 18 year olds and above with far more powerful weapons than what may be privately owned.

As has been read in national news once again during times of war the military suicide rate increase and has exceeded national averages.

Soldiers considered "at risk" that also have privately owned weapons will receive greater chain of command attention to assist that soldier with their needs.

Military installations have in the past and may require all privately owned weapons on that installation whether in individual family housing or otherwise be stored in a military controlled arms room that may require a commander's approval for removal and use by the owner of that privately owned weapon.

The military has led the rest of the US civilian society in the past on social issues of mandatory safety belt use while in a vehicle, smoking cessation and prohibitions, alcohol and drug abuse rehabilitation, child safety seat usage, weight control and physical fitness, no children or pets left in unattended by an adult in vehicles, hands free driving, and more.
