Traveling Deer Hunters
Key points about this family and friendship deer hunter group is they do not have time to scout and simply have an eye for where to hunt to include the open ground seen in the background of the pictures.
This group splits between hunting past localities of previous hunts as well as exploring new regions for the adventure of new terrain.
Holt Wetlands
The electrical service to and the electric pump itself used to supply water to the wetlands has failed. It is anticipated to be a week before service is restored. The water level is rapidly dropping. Duck hunters should plan to hunt elsewhere.
Deer Update
As always, Mother Nature has a built in mechanism to protect her own. At this point in the season, unseasonably warm weather has plagued archery hunting in Kansas and Iowa, as well as the firearms season in Missouri. Many members have enjoyed success, while others are struggling to cope with delayed rut activity. Kansas firearms, Missouri muzzleloader and Iowa archery hunters might be in for some unexpected late season hunting, if all falls into place.
