Upland Birds

Thank you Gaylen. We certainly appreciate seeing some other dogs. There are a good many out there that would agree a limit of quail is equal to a trophy whitetail.
Waterfowl
Some more about Henry C waterfowl wetlands. The landowner pointed out a large island of trees in the middle of the south shooting pool that was flaring the ducks. We still had the dozer grooming the intake ditch, so the landowner cut the trees by hand and had the dozer push the debris to the side and burn soon.
We also pushed a mound for a future blind, pit or wade-in area for those with layout blinds. Until the mound grows some vegetation we wanted to hold back to avoid spooking the ducks.
Duck
"...while out scouting the ducks gave us much time for pictures...more than a couple of ponds had them...saw plenty of deer, couple nice ones..."
Thanks Jason, it does appear from all that has been seen the local duck population is as good as it gets.
