10 September

Hi Greg, we seem to have lost this one in the shuffle along with its story. I think we like it because of your children are in it rather than just the bucks. One of those pictures that does not really need the story behind it. Thanks.

A doe with a rear leg injury that appears healed but does not allow her to run well.

Some more of those open land deer that seem to have gained much attention since Kansas increased the number of non-resident tags. As "...seen through the windshield...". The rest of the story was this picture is from a January bird hunt with the deer leaving the field only after the hunter with his dogs had run a circle around it. It was after returning to the truck, having loaded dogs and just pulled out when the deer decided to move out from the field.

Another open land deer picture from Mike who has as much time in that country as anyone. Most hunters will note where the doe are as in this country of less predictable deer patterns a collection of doe may be the best scouting point to be found.
